Post-Campaign Tools

What Happens after the campaign?
Once your campaign has ended, your pledge manager is complete, and fulfillment is underway, your crowdfunding journey—at least in its core phase—is officially finished. Congratulations on reaching such a significant milestone!
However, your project’s life doesn’t end there. In fact, there are still many opportunities to keep it alive in the market, continue supporting your existing community, and reach new customers.
Hive gives you the tools to do exactly that. Our platform provides a dedicated set of features for engaging your current backers, as well as separate tools for acquiring new ones.
In this article, we’ll walk you through both approaches, showing you how to maximize your project’s long-term potential.
Handling Existing Customers/Backers
You will almost certainly have customers who fall into one or more of the following categories:
- Backers who have received only part of their pledge
- Backers who received a damaged item
- Backers who forgot to add an item to their pledge and realized it after receiving their order
- Customers who purchased your game from a retailer or at a convention, and now need help or support
For all of these cases, the most effective tool is our embedded Support Ticketing System. If your campaign used our PRO service package, you already have free access to this feature. Simply direct your customers to your project’s page on Hive and have them click “Contact Creator” to open a ticket.
This approach is by far the most efficient way to manage post-campaign support requests. For customers who already have a Hive account and pledge, their ticket will be automatically linked to their pledge—giving you all their relevant order details in a single click. Even for retail customers without an account, the process of creating one and submitting a ticket is quick and straightforward.
Remember, you can even receive payments directly through our ticketing mechanism. If a backer needs to pay for a missing item, upgrade, or previously incomplete pledge, you can request payment within the same support ticket. This allows you to keep all records of communication and transactions in one place — no need to move between platforms. We do not apply any transaction fees to this payment. The money goes directly to your PayPal account, and you only pay PayPal whatever fees they charge you.
You can also upload tracking information directly into the ticket if you’re sending a replacement or shipping an additional item. It’s an all-inclusive, streamlined solution for handling your post-campaign customer service needs, designed to save time while keeping everything organized and transparent.
By keeping all communications in one central location, you streamline your workflow, save time, and deliver faster, more effective customer support—enhancing the overall experience for your community.

Post-Campaign Sales
If you want to keep attracting backers, running ads, and generating post-campaign sales, the most effective approach is to keep the momentum going—essentially, keep campaigning.
Our research and data show that directing potential customers to a page that mirrors your Kickstarter campaign (or late-pledge page) converts far better than sending them to a standard online store like Shopify or Amazon.
Why this works:
When you’re fulfilling your project and backers are receiving their rewards, excitement and word-of-mouth are at their peak. This buzz drives organic traffic—an extension of your campaign itself. Directing that traffic to a page that looks and feels like a campaign greatly increases conversion rates compared to a typical e-commerce storefront.
How to do it in Hive:
Use our "Clone" project functionality to create a duplicate of your project.
Your new project will look just like the original, but with an updated delivery date (typically 2–3 months after your first campaign’s delivery). You can welcome late-pledge backers through the same smooth pledge manager process while keeping:
- Separate statistics per project
- Distinct data sets
- Unique landing and referral URLs
- Full ad tracking with Facebook Pixel, Google Pixel, and more
This method is an excellent way to keep generating revenue for your product well beyond the original campaign.
