Some creators need financial infrastructure that Kickstarter does not provide directly. Hive can help you launch in USD and can also support your ad budget when cash flow is tight.

Both services are available only after our team reviews the project. The goal is simple: remove financial friction so you can focus on building momentum, manufacturing, and fulfillment.

Campaign in USD

Kickstarter requires creators to launch in the currency of the country where their campaign is based. That does not work well for every creator. If you need to run in USD instead, Hive can evaluate your project and allow you to use Hive's information to launch your campaign in USD.

This can be a meaningful advantage because most campaign costs, including manufacturing, freight, and fulfillment, are usually settled in USD anyway. If you launch in another currency, a large portion of the funding often needs to be converted later.

In many cases, creators can lose around 5% to currency conversion and wire transfer fees. Hive charges 3% of the amount Kickstarter deposits into our account, and remits the remaining balance to you.

If you also use Hive as your Pledge Manager, the fee drops from 3% to 2%.

Ad Budget Support

A strong ad strategy can be the difference between a campaign that stalls and a campaign that builds momentum, but not every creator has the cash available before launch. Hive can evaluate the project and cover the ad budget upfront.

You reimburse Hive after the campaign ends. Our fee is 5% of the ad budget we covered. For example, if you need $10,000 USD for ads, you reimburse $10,500 USD after the campaign.

This structure helps creators move forward with the right marketing push without starving the rest of the campaign budget during the most important period.

A major advantage of this service is flexibility. If Hive supports your ad budget, you remain free to choose any ad agency you want. You can work with one agency, split the budget between multiple agencies, or even run part of the ads yourself. Unlike other providers that tie their financing to their own mandatory services, Hive lets you shop around and build the ad setup that fits your project best.

When is the ad budget reimbursed?

After the end of the campaign. Hive covers the approved budget first, and the creator reimburses Hive afterward based on the agreed fee structure.
