Hive (full legal name: Hive Interactive Corporation) is an online browser-based networking platform, incorporated in Delaware, US (Address: 108 W 13th St, Wilmington, DE 19801, USA).

Our datacenter is located in Boston, USA. And our Support Team operates from Halifax, Canada (+1 (902) 476-4472)

Being a Browser-based platform, means that the only thing you need to access it is an Internet browser and an active Internet connection (none of which are provided).

Registration is completely free.

Users have to agree with these terms and conditions in order to register.

2. Hive Team

The Hive Team consists of all members of Hive Interactive Corporation. The team:

  • is not responsible for any damage to the users as a result of their participation in the Hive.
  • is not responsible for any problems with the machines that support the Hive or the platform itself.
  • reserves the right to make corrections and/or updates in the Hive and all its aspects without warning.
  • reserves the right to change these rules at any time.
3. Privacy Policy
3.1 General

We collect personal information from you as you use HiveInteractive.com, TabletopAnalytics.com, or any of our other websites (referred to here as our "websites"). This privacy policy explains how we—Hive Interactive Corporation, and our affiliates—use that information and what choices you have about it.

Our privacy policy applies to ALL of our websites, whether you access them through a web browser, a mobile app, or another way. Our privacy policy does NOT apply to information collected on you by someone else. In those cases, you should consult that person’s privacy policy.

Our privacy policy and our Terms of Service apply to you, our "users", as part of a contract that allows you to browse our website, post on forums, pledge for games, and otherwise interact with our websites.

By registering an account, users accept these rules. It is the responsibility of the user to regularly check for any changes.

If you register for an account, you will create a public profile. You may include more information on your profile as you desire, such as your full name and social media links, but remember that it may be accessible to anyone viewing our website, even if they don’t have an account.

If you used our Pledge Manager platform, then your personal information has also been given to the project's creator. You will need to contact them directly if you wish to apply changes and/or request a deletion.

If you do not have an account, we will store your personal information for the duration of your visit in the interest of system security, fraud protection, or other legitimate interests.

If you have an account, we will only retain your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting requirements. We may retain your personal data for a longer period in the event of a complaint or if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation in respect to our relationship with you.

To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or other requirements.

Generally, if you delete your account, your user contributions will be removed in the same manner as your personal information. However, you should be careful disclosing information publicly or to other users. Other users may still be able to access their copy of any private messages you sent to them while your account was active.

3.6 Children's Personal Information.

Hive users must be 18 years (or the legal age in your jurisdiction) or older. Therefore, we do not collect personal data of children.

4. User Obligations
4.1 Bugs and platform vulnerabilities

A bug is an error in the source code which prevents the platform to work as intended. Since it may be possible to exploit such a bug, users who manage to discover one should immediately inform the administrators. Taking advantage of such situations will result in account suspension and Hive reserves the rights to follow up with any legal actions necessary based on damages that may be incurred.

4.2 Access

Hive accounts are personal. Unauthorized access to other user accounts is not allowed. However, users have the responsibility to safeguard their accounts, using suitably strong passwords, etc.

Users must not interfere with the platform servers beyond what is normally expected during interaction with the platform. Attempts to bypass the system in order to hinder server performance and/or manipulate the code of the platform are not allowed and offenders are subject to account suspension or other similar blocking measures.

4.3 Bots and automation

The platform is designed to be operated by humans, sitting at a computer device with Internet access. Automation of actions (for example using scripts) is not allowed and will result in account suspension.

4.4 Behavior

Users should respect each other and communicate in a polite and constructive manner. All information posted publicly by users (including but not limited to messages, scenario/variation names, pictures, signatures, avatars) is monitored and the Hive Team may take action to change (or even ban) profiles without warning.

The following behavior is not allowed and applies to all publicly posted information:

Any content posted on our website through your account, such as forum posts, is referred to as your "user contributions". Your user contributions are accessible by anyone who visits our website. You should not include any sensitive information in your user contributions.

4.6 Communication

Issue resolution is conducted using email, so users should make sure that the e-mail they used during registration is correct. The user should take special care to allow such communication through any spam filters or antivirus software.

4.7 Agreement Changes

Except as so provided, Hive reserves the right to modify this policy and any element thereof. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this policy periodically and become aware of modifications. Your use of the Services following any modification to this policy shall be deemed to be your assent to any such modifications.

a) The account has no active pledge on a project.

b) The account has not been used (i.e. the user has not logged in) for at least 180 days.

Accounts deleted in this fashion will get no warnings.

The Hive Team will make every effort to respond to such communication, but it is not obliged to do so.

6.2 Compensation for errors

If a user has suffered from platform errors/bugs, that user may ask for compensation by contacting the Hive Team at info@hiveinteractive.net and providing valid proof of his/her claims.

7. Intellectual Property & Moral Rights

All the right, title and interest throughout the world in and associated with any content posted inside Hive, whether by a user or an administrator, including without limitation the copyright interest therein, will be the exclusive property of Hive automatically upon generation or creation thereof. To the extent that the user holds or acquires legal title in any of the content posted inside the Hive, the user declares and confirms that the s/he holds that legal title only as trustee for the exclusive benefit of Hive.

Hive may use, alter, vary, adapt and exploit all content as it sees fit. The user waives in favor of Hive all “moral rights” and “droits d’auteurs” that the user may have for the content posted in Hive.

These rules do not apply to Project Creators that use Hive's Pledge Manager services. In this case the Project Creator holds all the Intellectual Properties of the work posted in their project and is exclusively responsible for it.

Certain cookies contain personal information – for example, if you click on “remember me” when logging on, a cookie will store your username. What sort of cookies do our sites use?

Cookies can perform several different functions:

1. Necessary Cookies
Some cookies are essential for the operation of our sites. These cookies enable services you have specifically asked for.

2. Performance Cookies
These cookies may collect anonymous information on the pages visited. For example, we might use performance cookies to keep track of which pages are most popular, which method of linking between pages is most effective and to determine why some pages are receiving error messages.

3. Functionality Cookies
These cookies remember choices you make to improve your experience.

Hive may also allow third parties to serve cookies that fall into any of the categories above. For example, like many sites, we may use Google Analytics to help us monitor our website traffic.

Can a user block cookies?

To find out how to manage which cookies you allow, see your browser’s help section or your mobile device manual – or you can visit one of the sites below, which have detailed information on how to manage, control or delete cookies.
