Backer Support Tool

Communication with your backers is the most important aspect of your campaign. Do not lose any messages, do not leave any issue unresolved. Get organized!

Our pledge manager comes with an fully integrated ticketing system that will help you manage backers' questions, special requests, damaged or missing items notifications, and more.

Backer Loyalty

If you are a repeat creator, you can assign Loyalty Credits to backers of specific pledges in a campaign. Backers can use those credits towards your future campaigns to purchase add-ons.

This is a powerful loyalty mechanic that greatly increases your number of returning backers.

Verified Retailers

In the Hive Pledge Manager, when creators mark a rewards level as "Retailer's Pledge", backers who select it must go through Hive's retailer verification process before they are able to checkout.

Our system requests specific information from the backer in order to verify their retailer status.

Only after the backer is verified, they will be able to access any retailer discounts you may have set up for your project, and complete the checkout process.

Coupons

Within our platform you can create unique coupon codes. You can customize the coupon to discount an entire pledge level, a portion of the pledge level, or even just for specific add-ons.

With this feature, it makes offering special promotions or giveaways easy! Just email the giveaway winner their unique coupon code and a link to the pledge manager. Once they complete the pledge manager, they will be added in your backer list!

Tax/VAT Collection

Within our platform you can customize the VAT/Tax based on the country and state/province of your backers.

Our system knows when a verified retailer is from within the EU, with a valid EU VAT ID. When that happens, you have the option not to charge VAT fees.

CRM Tools

During the course of your project, you need to keep track of different types of information. Contacts (manufacturers, designers, illustrators), quotes (fulfilment, freight), invoices (shipping, marketing, manufacturing), files/documents (CE certificates, localization agreements) and more.

Our CRM subsystem helps you manage all this information in one place! No need to use multiple 3rd party applications to stay organised.

Hub Integration

Within our platform you can assign backers to specific, and different, fulfilment centers (hubs). Once backers are assigned, you can export the backer list, SKU list and packing list in the format required by the hub.

We currently have export formats for all major hubs: Happyshops, Green Logistics, Zatu, GamesQuest, QML, Aetherworks, Bridge, Pick & Pack, ShipHero, VFI. Even if you are not using one of these hubs, our team will help you get the exact format you need.

Inventory Management

Within our pledge manager you can define the warehouses/storage facilities you maintain around the world, add the inventory/stock for each SKU and be able to track it with one click!

This system provides you with critical information you need to handle distribution and retail orders after your campaign, pushing your left over stock into the market.

Freight Management

Within our platform you can record all the information for your freight shipments. Keep track of important files like BOL, packing list, and commercial invoices that are required for international shipments.

You can attach notes, shipping quotes, dates (ETD/ETA), invoices, and keep everything organised so that you do not lose track at any stage of your campaign!

Frequently asked questions
How does Hive's pricing work?

We only charge a fee on the money that we collect through our own platform and tools. We never charge you any amount on whatever money you raised in Kickstarter. This means that there is NO Setup Fee, there is NO Campaign Fee. Our fee is based on the plan that you choose. It is 3% for the Basic Plan, and 4% for the Pro Plan.

What forms of payment do you accept?

If your campaign is in USD then your backers can choose to pay with: Paypal, Stripe or Square. If your campaign is in any other currency, then they can pay only through Paypal.

What options for shipping calculation do you support?

Our platform has a robust rules-based system for calculating the shipping cost of each individual backer. It allows for simple rules (e.g. weight per country) to complex rules (e.g. split a pledge into packages of certain weight for a specific state in a country). Our team will help you configure those rules so that it matches your exact needs.

I need help setting up my campaign. Who do I ask?

You will have a dedicated personal account manager, who will help you every step of the way. They will guide you on how to optimise your pledge manager, correctly set up add-on options, shipping methods and ensure you get all of the benefits from all our tools.

What is a pre-campaign landing page?

If you sign up with us BEFORE you start your campaign, you can create a special page within our platform where you can collect emails during your pre-campaign marketing, AND send potential backers to your pre-campaign Kickstarter page to become "followers" so they get notified by Kickstarter when you launch.

What is a pre-survey landing page?

Between the very first second after your Kickstarter campaign finishes and right before you are ready to open your pledge manager so that backers can complete their pledges, there is a time period, the "sweet spot", when you can generate a significant number of sales. Your pre-survey landing page on our platform can help you greatly increase your up-sell without the risk of losing any backers!
