Shipping Update, Part I

Happy Monday everyone! Let’s dive right in. Since the last update, we’ve encountered some unfortunate delays. Not to go too deep into the nuts and bolts, but organizing freight across the Pacific involves reserving an intermodal shipping container. As an indie game company, we only manufacture enough games to fill a fraction of one of these behemoths, and so we partner with other companies to load the entire container and share the cost. While Wicked Cribbage was ready to set sail a month ago, our partners had issues with customs, packing lists, and port deliveries.

So what does this mean? The games are currently at port in China and should ship to North America this week. We’re working closely with our distribution centers to win back as much time as we can, but fulfillment will most likely push out past the holidays for most regions. We’re looking at early January for USA backers and mid-January for Canada. We were able to pivot on European fulfillment, and so we’re still on track to fulfill these countries in December.

We’ll send another update with more specific timelines once the games are on the water. It’s a bummer and we apologize that we’re most likely going to be a couple of weeks late for the holidays. For those of you who purchased games as presents, Jess will design a Sir John Suckling e-card that you can send to your friends and family, and we’ll let him explain that a cool present is running late, but definitely forthcoming.
