By backing us now you will get The Presence at the lowest price possible, and you also help pack as many stretch goals as we can fit into the box. We're a small publisher that want to make something awesome, and we need your help to do it.

The Presence is a passion project, representing a long journey of over 5 years of development, in pursuit of a single question: Is it possible to design emotional horror in board game form? 

We have been able to work without deadlines to create something with unique gameplay, high-quality illustrations and a story full of details for you to discover. 

With your help The Presence can be made a reality. By backing now you support our vision and give us the means to provide board game and horror fans with something truly unique!

Can I get it later? 

It will be possible in the pledge manager, but we have pressured the pledge price for the campaign as much as we can. The PM prices will be somewhat increased. By backing now you also support us when we really need it! 

What about retail?

We currently do not have plans for a broad retail release. Our primary focus is the game itself at this moment. The only guarantee we can make is to those retailers who decide to back us right here and now. If you want your local store to stock it, please let them know that there is a retailer pledge option available. 

Why make this game?

As fans of emotional horror, we wanted to create a strategic game that also tells a story of darkness and of human tragedy. We wanted to see if we could create an immersive experience where you feel your presence in the world of the game, and can enjoy the tension and atmosphere together with your friends.

This is a challenging vision, and we are not the ones to say whether we have succeeded or not, that will be up to you! We hope to not only get the chance to show you what we've been working on, but also to help us make this the best experience for true horror fans that it can possibly get.

Please join development by using the materials provided by us and help give feedback. We are looking for play testers, both for the first play experience and for playtesting the campaign. If you are interested join our Discord to learn more on how to get involved. 

Whether you simply comment, pledge or join in playtesting we very much feel it directly, we need people like you! You make us realize that what we are doing matters, that there are others that share this vision with us. We cannot do this alone, we are in this together!

Shipping Costs: All shipping costs are estimates. If prices have changed significantly up or down, we will adjust our pricing accordingly. If the adjustment is up more than 10% we will cover the difference.

Pledge Manager: Shipping and VAT costs are collected after the campaign ends through the Hive Pledge Manager. After the campaign we will email you when the Pledge Manager is ready.  Please read through the Backer Responsibility section below regarding notification.

VAT: VAT (to your government) is not included in the pledge cost or shipping cost and will be charged separately. EU and UK backers will be charged VAT in the pledge manager, based on your country's rates. This tax is based on the full price of your rewards plus the shipping charges incurred, so we cannot calculate it until you’ve selected all your options in the Pledge Manager. 

GDPR & Data Privacy: By pledging to this campaign you allow us to store and transfer your data to our partners with the only purpose of sending you your pledged games. We never sell your data and will not transfer it to partners who are not directly involved in fulfillment.

Other: We cannot ship to PO Boxes domestically or internationally. Due to the size of each package, there is too great a risk of the package being bounced back to us.

July Update - US Address lockdown!

Time for the monthly update!

We hope you're having a splendid and sunny vacation, not thinking about the horrors that await you come fall. After all, they mostly come at night. Mostly.

Fulfillment Update & US address lockdown! 🚢

All vessels are on the ocean, chugging along on their long voyage to us. As you know, some of them are a bit behind schedule, but one of them got away early. In fact, the US ship is already very close to port. We expect US fulfillment to be able to start before the end of August!

As a result, on the 10th of August, addresses will be locked down for US backers. You will no longer be able to change your address after that date, so make sure everything is in order before then. We hope to return next month with good news!

📣 Essen SPIEL 2025! 📣

We're excited to announce our presence, once again, at Essen SPIEL on October 23. Our first time we were merely playtesting and collecting feedback. This time, thanks to all of you, we are exhibiting as a proper publisher with our first title!

Missed out on the campaign?

We are starting to get questions from those who missed the late pledge, for how to get the game. We plan to open a webshop to sell leftover stock from the campaign at some point in the fall, but the date is not yet set.

Visit us at Essen SPIEL and buy the game at our booth.

Buy or pre-order from the FLGS stores that backed our campaign.

We apologize for the limited availability. There are a few copies left after the campaign that will be sold/distributed from Europe. The US tariffs made it hard to get extra stock in there, so for now availability is limited to the US FLGS stores that backed us. Support them, as they too helped make this happen!

This is it, for now. Enjoy summer, but know that the darkness is slowly closing in. When it does, we will be waiting..
