The Last Command is a detail-oriented space combat strategy game, lovingly crafted to simulate the relationship between a starship and its crew. Whether playing as the Federation Remnant or the Sunder, victory hinges on maximizing the potential of your crew and ship systems with gameplay utilizing dual deckbuilding, worker placement and resource management!

Ready your crew and Man all stations!

At the heart of The Last Command is an intuitive dual deckbuilding system that has players constructing a powerful ship system deck and a second deck consisting of crew members that can maximize those systems potential and provide the energy to power them. Multiple system cards can be played into a ship location, but the topmost card has the potential of unlocking powerful end of turn bonus abilities if crew with matching expertise are present in that system.

Become A Legendary Fleet Captain!

Cards played to your ship remain in play until you attempt to draw from their respective deck and that deck is empty. To achieve victory, captains must learn when to push their system’s limits and when to recall them. If a captain is able to reduce the hull strength of his opponent’s ship to zero, then the battle has been won and glory and honor is theirs!

すべてのアップデートアップデート #3

Slight delays, tariffs, and other developments

2025-03-12 23:37:05

Greetings everyone! I have good news, (slightly) bad news, and news that is ugly (but mostly just to me).

I wish this update could just be me saying that fulfillment has begun, and indeed we are close! Alas, making the mid-March deadline I mentioned in my last update was dependent on things going completely smoothly, but there have been some small delays. I'll describe those in detail later in this update, but first, here's the basics:

We experienced some small US freight delays at sea that led to us getting to port (New York) about a week later than hoped. The ship has docked, unloaded its cargo and disembarked. I am now simply waiting for the games to get through customs. I have no control over how long this will take, but I am trying to work with our freight forwarder to move things along.

The UK, AUS, NZ, EU and RotW freight has actually almost caught up to the US shipment timewise at this point. It has also docked at port at its port (Felixstowe), with the unloading of cargo just beginning.

Tariffs... (this is the ugly news). I didn't want to have to talk about this, but it's important (to me anyways) that you all know the following. TLC got hit by the wildly increased US tariffs just as the cargo was about to unload... This significantly (and instantly) increased the cost of production of the games. I will be taking the hit on this personally, you do not need to worry! (more on the future impacts of this below)

So basically, the US is currently about 2 weeks delayed, with me not knowing exactly how much longer it will be (could be a single day but probably won't be more than another week). The UK hub freight is mostly on track, I'll be keeping tabs on it. Tariffs... sigh.

Additional details for people who like those

Much of what is happening at this point is beyond my ability to further influence.

One nice perk to the location of our fulfillment center is that it's only about a single day's drive from the port, so when we get through customs it's expected that things will again move ahead quickly.

So, tariffs. Like I said, nobody that has supported the game needs to worry about this. I appreciate your support too much (and your patience) to be one of those campaigns that tries to recoup all additional costs from its backers. However, I will need to slightly increase the cost of my remaining stock at some point in the future to reflect this new world reality. Game sales I make directly through my website will not increase in price until after May 15. The delayed date is to give more people the chance to get the game at the lower rate. There are a few other places that will be selling limited stock of TLC, they may or may not increase their prices sooner. I will gladly keep my mailing list backers up to date on stock everywhere after we fulfill so that anyone who is interested can get the best deal.

Shortly after the games reach their hubs you should get an email from GamesQuest detailing tracking (if applicable for your location) and any other shipping and fulfillment details. I will send an update once the games reach the hubs. So, I guess you will likely hear from me first.

Whew... ok. That's what's happening! I've had a number of you reach out and ask for updates and I apologize that I didn't send one sooner. It wasn't negligence, I've just been trying to get solid info on when customs would clear and honestly these last 2 weeks have been the busiest since the campaign ended. All part of the job I know, but I'm trying my hardest to get you what you paid for!

Thanks so much for your continued support!
