What is Pack of Penguins

Pack of Penguins is a light competitive game where you play cards to put your penguin in the best spot to gain eggs and fish.

It's the perfect choice for game night with kids and grandparents!

How To Play

Play a card, put your penguin on it, and gain eggs and fish depending where your penguin is located in the sequence shown in the Ice Floe card.

Whoever has the most eggs at the end of the game is the winner. Simple, right?

However, if you finish the game with the least fish, you'll lose two eggs, which might cost you the win! How will you balance between gaining eggs and avoiding the penalty?

Designer

Hi! I’m Bin Lee. I work in software in Pasadena, California, USA. In my free time, I enjoy playing board games with my friends. I love games that feel unique with elegant design. I wanted to design a card game similar to Hearts or Spades, but without worrying about suits and not always having the highest numbered card winning a round. After years of playtesting with heavy and casual gamers, adults and kids of all ages, I’m proud of the streamlined rules while still giving players some challenge in balancing eggs and fish. I hope you’ll have a cozy time with your family with the cute penguins and easy gameplay.

Artist

I’m Kendal Gates, a freelance artist based in the Eastern US and specializing in all things games and fantasy! I’ve worked for over ten years on numerous projects ranging from tabletop gaming, book covers, and even the Delegates comic with Pack of Penguins’ own Bin Lee. Past clients range from Imagine Bin, Paizo, Cephalofair, Dynamite Comics and more. When not making art my favorite pastimes are crochet, digital and tabletop gaming, and making pancakes for my dog (whose silly energy reminds me a lot of our own Little Penguin!). Helping to make Pack of Penguins real alongside Bin has been such a joy, and I can’t wait for everyone to meet our fun little guys!
