Kryptothera Has Arrived: Fulfilment Complete, The Hunt Continues

Hunters,

This is a very special update for us.

Fulfilment for Kryptothera: The Cryptid Pursuit is now officially complete.

We promised to deliver the game, and we have done exactly that. On time, and in fact, earlier than originally promised.

For our first ever game, Kryptothera was not exactly a small first step. It was a big box, a big world, a big production, and a big promise to every single one of you who chose to support us. So today, more than anything else, we want to take a moment to celebrate that promise being fulfilled.

Kryptothera is no longer just a campaign page, a prototype, a rulebook draft, or a dream living in our heads.

It is real.

It is in your hands.

It is on tables.

And people are hunting cryptids.

That is honestly an incredible feeling.

What Went Well

A lot went right, and we are genuinely proud of how this project came together.

Fulfilment was completed on time, and even started earlier than originally promised. The production quality came out exactly as we hoped, with the board, cards, components, art, and table presence all coming together into the kind of game we wanted Kryptothera to be.

We have also been so happy to see people opening the box, learning the game, sharing photos, asking questions, planning their first hunts, and telling us that they are genuinely enjoying playing it.

For a first-time publisher, bringing a game of this scale to life is a huge challenge. There are hundreds of moving parts, and probably a few hidden cryptids chewing through the wires somewhere along the way. But overall, the campaign, production, and fulfilment have gone very smoothly, and we are very proud of what we have delivered.

Most importantly, we are proud that we honoured the trust you placed in us.

What Went Less Well

We also want to be open about the small issues that came up, because we believe that honesty matters.

A small number of backers received the wrong expansion due to a picking mistake during fulfilment. This affected around 20 backers, and all of those cases have now been rectified, with the correct expansions sent out.

There is also an issue with two cards in The Cultural Exchange mini-expansion, which were cut with an incorrect black edge. As a temporary fix, those two cards can be made playable by carefully trimming the black edges. Replacement cards are already being manufactured, and we will replace them in due course.

Finally, as more players have started getting Kryptothera to the table, a few rule interpretation questions have naturally come up. We have started an FAQ page on our website, where we are answering the questions we receive and giving players one clear place to check clarifications:

The FAQ will also soon include the solutions to the side quests.

None of these issues affect the main game experience, and every issue that has come up has either already been fixed or has a solution in progress.

The campaign funded in less than 24 hours and is now more than 170% funded, which has been incredible to see.
