Manufacturing is Complete!

Happy Sunday, Explorers!

Just a quick update to share that mass production of Kaelora and Kindred is COMPLETE! Advanced copies are en route to the U.S. now so we can verify assembly and packaging is the way we want it and secure for transportation. Shipping product around the globe is no easy task.

We are hoping to receive these advanced copies by the end of next week. As the games are traveling over the waves and through the clouds, two other copies will be sent to the lab to undergo safety testing as required by international law. Since board games designed for ages 14 and below are considered toys, they need to go through rigorous testing to ensure the materials and design are safe for all ages. If we are unable to show proof this has been done and the games get flagged, they will be destroyed. We certainly do not want that.

We have already been in contact with our fulfillment HUB so they are prepping the shipping boxes and labels. I will probably mention this again because (surprisingly) only 30% of backers read updates, but our HUB pays for shipping and labels pledges BEFORE they leave China.

What this means is, you will receive an email with tracking information WAY before the game actually ships. So, if you look up the tracking information and it hasn't moved for a week or two, rest assured, nothing is wrong. 

The HUB does it this way to keep things moving. Rather than sending cases of games to local couriers, and then having them box, package and label product they don't know much about and therefore disrupting the shipping flow, the HUB does all of that work beforehand. This way, as soon as the games arrive at the local courier, they get shipped out immediately to your doorstep! No hiccups.

With all this said, fulfillment will begin in September, right on schedule! Holy crap we're exhausted! 

Pax Unplugged - December 4-6 in Philadelphia

Tangerine Games will have a booth at PAXU the first weekend in December at the Philadelphia Convention Center. This is our favorite convention to attend and we are excited to finally be a vendor. We are even more excited to meet all of our supporters who have gotten us this far in just 3 years.

We've published: Nestlings, PEAKS, Sauros, Kaelora, Kindred, and taken over the Megapulse IP. Six games in less than 4 years. That's absolutely nuts! Did any of our games blow the socks off the industry? Nope, but that's okay. We measure success by smiles and helping new designers see their hard work come to fruition.

In order for us to continue making games, we need your help to spread the word, buy games as gifts, take out mortgages to buy extra copies, and sell your soul to the Meeple gods on behalf of Tangerine Games (we are completely joking about the last two... sort of...)

But in all seriousness, we have some great games on the horizon, including a 20-year-old reprint 😊. With this said, PEAKS and Sauros should be hitting retail just in time for the holidays and in Barnes & Noble Spring 2027!
