Into the Fun Factory

This is a special campaign where we are implementing all new features we’ve never offered before in a crowdfunding project. 

We’re going to be using a new Pledge Manager for this campaign that provides special capabilities. Here on Kickstarter you’ll be able to select a Reward and Add-ons. In the Pledge Manager, after the campaign is over, you’ll see all of your purchases, you’ll be able to make changes to your order, and you’ll see your special pricing.

 You will receive information about accessing your order in the Pledge Manager a few weeks after the end of the campaign here on Kickstarter. We’ve done our best to answer questions you may have in the FAQ!

We work with fulfillment companies around the world to deliver your order at the lowest cost. Where required by law we collect tax as well. AEG does not take a profit on shipping & handling or tax.

AEG pays for the costs of importation into each region including customs duties and import taxes due at the port of arrival. Most orders will be delivered to your address without any tax due but it is possible that your local authorities will assess tax to be paid before delivery; that is beyond AEG’s control. If you normally receive Crowdfunding orders without tax due, you should receive your order from AEG without any tax due either.

We will be charging shipping & handling and tax after the campaign concludes based on the actual costs incurred to ship from the closest distribution center to your delivery address. You will pay for shipping & handling, plus VAT, GST, and sales tax in our Pledge Manager after the campaign ends.

The above rates are for shipping & handling ONLY. VAT, GST and sales tax will be calculated and assessed in the Pledge Manager. Please see the section about taxes and the section about refunds in the Risks & Challenges section below for more details.

Tax Policies:

Backers in the EU and the UK will pay 20% VAT. It is not possible for us to waive this calculation for any order shipping to Europe. 

Backers in Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland will not be assessed VAT but will have to pay duties and import VAT to receive your order. We have no workable solution other than to let the local authorities assess tax directly to you and we cannot pre-pay it.

Shipping and Handling for Canada will be + Canadian sales tax which varies by Province & Territory. Backers in the US will pay sales tax in states where AEG is required to register and pay sales tax.

US Backers: We are going to assess a tariff surcharge on your order which will reflect our best guess of the tariff we will pay to import your order into the United States from China. About a month before the shipment is ready to leave China we will have a more accurate number about the cost of the tariff. If, at that time, the tariff is such that we cannot subsidize any amount beyond what you have already paid, there will be a 2nd tariff surcharge added to your order which you will need to pay before we ship the products from China; if you elect not to pay that 2nd surcharge, your order will be cancelled and 100% refunded. We are very much hoping that a 2nd surcharge payment will not be necessary but given the wildly uncertain policy process we can't know until the time of shipment has arrived.

We will not be able to reroute your order to a different region at the time the products leave China. Once we've announced the start of fulfillment, region-to-region changes will become impossible.

Restricted Delivery:

Due to the increasing frequency of Crowdfunding orders failing to clear customs or being lost and/or stolen during delivery, AEG now ships only to the following countries:

United States, Canada, United Kingdom, EU+ (EU States + Norway, Switzerland and Lichtenstein), China (including Hong Kong), Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Australia, and New Zealand.

We are unable to ship to Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands or any other US territory or possession.

We are unable to ship to the overseas territories or possessions of the UK or any EU country.

All other backers must arrange to have their order received in one of those countries and freight-forwarded, at backer expense, to their final delivery address. We will cancel and refund orders from countries we do not ship to prior to fulfillment if other arrangements have not been made.
