A player's turn takes place over four simple steps:

Step 1:  Review your politics, then collect your income.

Step 2:  Use your income to purchase projects/abilities, buy mercenaries, and play courtiers, adding them to your court.

Step 3:  Move your armies to fortify or conquer new regions.

Step 4:  Engage in battle.  Win if you have more soldiers than the defense.  Then subdue the population and raise your income if you have soldiers equal to the region's demographics.

Play continues until a player reaches the required number of flags or a player acquires two wonders.

All prices quoted above are in USD and the estimates are based on 2025 shipping rates. Pricing does not include VAT or any other sales tax associated with your region. Pledge Manager Opening This Week

Now that manufacturing is underway, we will be opening the pledge manager this week. Please be on the lookout for an email from Hive regarding completing your shipping.


If you are unfamiliar with a pledge manager, it is a third-party service that helps get the game to your doorstep. Many crowdfunding campaigns use them to collect shipping addresses and then identify and manage payments for shipping, VAT, and taxes. It is also your last opportunity to purchase additional games, playmats, and metal coins.


For those in Arizona, we are able to offer a free local pick-up option at one of our CSquared Game Day events this fall. For everyone who chooses to have their game shipped, we have done our best to stay close to our 2025 shipping projections, however given the global stress on oil prices and shipping lanes, shipping costs are slightly higher than we projected. 


Please be sure to complete your pledge no later than July 20th to ensure you receive your rewards. Also, if you are moving between now and September, please let us know as soon as you have your new shipping address so we can update our system.
