Hike It! Board Game Update - Long Overdue

I wanted to begin with an apology for the lack of communication over the past few months.

I know there are a lot of concerns these days with crowdfunding, but Hike It is still on its way, just had a few things to clean up and that has set up back a few months. Have no doubt that it is my mission to deliver the best version of this game to every backer. As backers of this game, you deserve better communication going forward, and I will make sure that happens.

For some background.... once the original Kickstarter campaign wrapped up, I started to get design assets ready to deliver to our manufacturer (GameLand). At that time I noticed some minor issues and some opportunities for enhancements, so I took a good chunk of time the design of EVERY SINGLE component in the game to ensure it is near perfect for both usability as well as mass production printing.

The following items were all touched up, tweaked or redesigned in some way.

All these items are currently going through final proofing and will be handed off to our manufacturer in the next 2 weeks to begin production.

First and foremost, this delay is ALL ON ME.

It was my decision to delay manufacturing to give the entire game a once-over as far as design. My pride in my work and my desire for every backer to be 100% satisfied were the primary drivers of this delay.

With that said, manufacturing should take 8-10 weeks to complete. Then we have another couple months of shipping (depending on where you are in the world). This does put us past our originally scheduled fulfillment date, but I hope the final product you will get will more than make up for the delay.

I still owe you all the solo rules. Since every component's design was updated, the rulebook needed a massive design update. I will send out the final rulebook (with solo rules) to you once it is approved.

Also: I am in the process of lining up a few “how to play” and “play through” videos to be published near the time of fulfillment so you have some helpful videos on YouTube when you get your game.
