I’ll Stick Around / Cut the stickers instead of reming them?

Hi festival-goers!

I didn’t plan for an update today as I was going to wait to see more progress on the worldwide fulfilling, so this is just a short one and regarding the stickers on the box. I will reuse the answer I put on the section comments because I want to bring to everyone's attention.

The stickers were something that I was kept going back and forth in my mind. I really didn’t want the shrink plastic because if it was included, the game would not be completely plastic free. As you know, this was one of our main goals. We knew we needed the paper stickers to hold the box together, so we tested some materials and colors. That is when I decided to add the box sleeve (this was not part of the original components), this way people can just cut the stickers and have the box sleeve showing all the art on the box.

What is my personal recommendation?

My recommendation is to cut the sticker, instead of removing it, and keep the box sleeve covering it. You still will have the outside box as intended and inside a sticker that you will not see if you keep using the box sleeve.

When I founded Green Astra Games my main goal was to create eco-friendly plastic-free games but without sacrificing the quality of the game. I am really proud of this product, and I know how people feel about stickers on boxes, but that is why I compensate this by adding a box sleeve. Have you seen other ways to hold boxes together without the use of stickers or plastic shrink wraps? Maybe, it would be worth considering for future projects.

I am glad to see people around the world started to receive their copy! This is a product that was done with a lot of love and caring, and I hope it is reflected in the game. As a music festival fan and a gamer, this is the game that I always wanted to play, and I was happy to see that other people were looking for the same game. No tenía previsto publicar una actualización hoy, ya que iba a esperar a ver más avances en los envíos internacionales, así que esta es solo una breve explicación sobre los stickers en la caja. Voy a reusar la respuesta que publiqué en los comentarios para que les sea de utilidad.

Los stickers eran algo que estuve pensando muchas veces en mi cabeza. No quería agregar la el filme plástico porque, si lo incluía, el juego no iba a ser completamente libre de plástico. Como saben, este era uno de mis principales objetivos. Sabía que necesitábamos los stickers de papel para mantener cerrada la caja, así que probamos algunos materiales y colores. Después de las pruebas, fue cuando decidí añadir la funda de la caja (esta no era parte de los componentes originales). Así, se podrían cortar los stickers y la funda aún mostraría todo el arte.

¿Cuál es mi recomendación personal?

Recomiendo cortar el sticker, en lugar de retirarlo, y mantener la funda de la caja siempre. Así seguirás teniendo la caja exterior como estaba previsto y un sticker en el interior que no verás si sigues usando la funda.

Cuando fundé Green Astra Games, mi principal objetivo era crear juegos ecológicos y libres de plástico, pero sin sacrificar la calidad del juego. Estoy muy orgulloso de este producto y sé lo que la gente piensa de los stickers en las cajas, pero por eso lo compensé añadiendo una funda a la caja. ¿Conoces otras formas de mantener las cajas cerradas sin usar stickers ni filme plástico? Quizás valga la pena considerarlo para futuros proyectos.
