The Hero and Lich armies have their own selection of units to deploy, each with unique stats, abilities, and specials. Units are suited for attack, defence, or support.

While some units can inflict heavy damage close up, others perform attacks from a distance, while others can heal. Build your army by choosing and deploying units that complement your strategy or use one of the preset armies to get playing quickly.

Each token has a health ring, making tracking health and activation status easy and always visible to both players. Simply rotate the health ring to update a unit's health, or flip it over to indicate it has been activated (taken its turn).

Made of high quality neoprene, this playmat provides an excellent surface for flicking dice. The massive 61 x 71cm (24 x 28in) playmat comes in two pieces for compact storage.

Combat in Battlefields is a hybrid of skill and luck. Attack by skilfully flicking dice at the enemy. On a successful hit, the dice result reveals the amount of damage inflicted. Units are affected by their wounds. Some are weakened when hurt, while others unlock their true potential when they enter their wounded state.

Deploy Your Army

Battlefields includes 15 different units for each army. These units have unique abilities and stats. Experiment with different unit combinations, or get started quickly using one of the preset armies.

Command Your Units

Each unit has unique stats; attack range, movement speed, health, and accuracy are indicated by their unit reference card.

On their turn, players command their units in any order and can move, attack, or both. Moving backwards is considered retreating, and comes with a penalty. This rule keeps the game moving and prevents players from turtling in their base.

Attacks are performed by flicking dice at a targeted enemy. The enemy unit must be within the attacker’s range. 

The amount of damage is determined by the result the die lands on. 

Units have different attack powers, such as the Critical attack power, dealing additional damage on a successful attack.

Tracking Unit States

Each unit has a ring for tracking the health of the unit. Flipping the ring over indicates that the unit has taken their turn (was activated).

When a unit falls below a certain amount of health, they enter the wounded state, altering their stats. Note: Units can be healed back to healthy status.

Deploying Reinforcements

Eliminated enemy units can be traded in to deploy additional units during the reinforcements phase.

Winning The Game

In the default game mode, the first player to reach 10 Victory Points (by eliminating their opponent's units) is the winner!
