📚 Our Story

👋 Meet the Founders

ALL ART FOR THE GAME IS DONE BY REAL ARTISTS AND DOES NOT USE AI. 

We started designing this game well before AI existed and have always wanted to support hand drawn art. Our primary artist, Rachel, is local to our region and her art was the inspiration for all the other artists we have hired.

We are an Indie Studio made up of four friends and a dream to launch our first ever card game! This dream is only possible through crowdfunding as we could never fund the game on our own. I don't blame you if you choose to wait and see what happens, I just can't promise that Bananarchy will be available in retail stores later if there is not enough support right now.  The more support we have at launch the more likely we are able to continue developing fun games and more content for you in the future. 

Most important, by pledging support to our campaign you're doing what Kickstarters were meant for: Helping a new indie developer make cool new stuff for everyone!

🚢 Shipping, Taxes and Tariffs

It is our goal to get everyone the best shipping rates possible, however, with the rapidly changing state of the world lately it has become difficult to predict what those rates might be by the time we have produced our game. These estimates should cover most regular fluctuations but we do reserve the right to adjust these rates should a major change occur. If any changes occur, we will make sure to notify all affected backers asap so you can make accurate financial decisions regarding your pledge. 

Local Pickup

The Bananarchy team feels super strongly about providing pick-up options to help reduce shipping costs for our local supporters! 

• Okanagan Area (Kelowna, Vernon, Penticton)

If we have enough backers in the following areas Local Pick Up Options will be provided. We are currently in talks to provide Local Pick-up in:

• Vancouver
• Calgary
  
  We are open to expanding these options with participating retailers from other areas within Canada if we can get enough backer support or interest though we cannot promise anything until we confirm a retailer is willing to partner with us to provide a pick-up location. If you are a retailer in a nearby region and interested in providing this for us please reach out directly to hello@pickupandplaygames.com
