The door to the dungeon opens slowly with a loud creak...  Stairs descend down into the gloomy depths... What will you find?  Will it be glorious treasures?  Magical items? Fame?  Or will it be dangerous traps, locked doors and terrible monsters?

The Fighting Fantasy gamebooks burst onto the scene in 1982 and rapidly became a publishing phenomenon, with many millions of copies sold worldwide.  A few years later the Advanced Fighting Fantasy (AFF) roleplaying game was released, allowing fans to create their own adventures.

The gamebooks are still published now in numerous languages, and indeed new titles are still being written.  Likewise, we re-released the Advanced Fighting Fantasy RPG some thirteen years ago, and there are now nearly thirty books in that line!

We were always convinced however that what was really needed was a boardgame, combining the easy to learn rules of AFF with the speed and replayability of a random dungeon boardgame.  And so AFF - Dark Dungeons was born.  Quick to set up, easy to learn and taking about an hour to play, this game will appeal to hardcore boardgamers and families alike!
