Abstract Strategy Games New Collection Started!

As an independent game publisher, Kanare_Abstract, run by me, Kanare Kato, had been producing and selling fabric board-style portable abstract games on semi-on demand for several years.

While this style had gained some traction and is one that I personally liked, it had the drawback of not being able to publish new games in the desired cycle because of the amount of material ordering and manual labor involved, and the inability to design new games while orders were being taken.

So, in order to publish games from outside designers, Kanare_Abstract decided to take the plunge and partner with a production company to embark on a mass-produced cardboard style.

The new format consists of a 220 mm x 252 mm board folded in two and a 137mm x 232mm x 33mm box. Pieces are usually wooden and fit under the board with an insert.

The packages are clean, primarily white designs with icons based on the motifs or characteristics of each game.

These formats are larger than previous fabric editions but still portable. Each side of the box can be oriented vertically or horizontally to accommodate your shelf situation.

If this campaign is successful, we intend to consistently publish about 8-10 abstract games a year using this format.
