Speaks and Spells Publishing

Speaks & Spells Publishing is an independent publisher focused on producing expansions and other content for TTRPGs Clarke Peterson has been designing for TTRPGs since he first worked up the nerve to get behind the GM screen in 2020. In 2023, he began writing for EN Publishing's Gate Pass Gazette, a monthly zine that showcases new content for Level Up: Advanced 5th Edition. Later that same year he released his first self-published work: The Arcane Exterminator, which was followed shortly by Secrets of the Selkies and Venture Forth: Over 100 Knacks for the Core Classes. Speaks & Spells Publishing is a reference to the poem As Kingfishers Catch Fire by Gerard Manley Hopkins, the poem Clarke's wife, Annie, showed him the night they fell in love and which appeared on the back of their wedding program.
