We will not be offering stretch goals on this campaign as we do not wish to delay production or disappoint our backers. We would prefer to work hard to get the game out to everyone as quickly as we can and make the best game possible.

We will however be offering add ons within the pledge manager, so in addition to being able to purchase additional copies of the game you will be able to get the following:

Whilst demoing our game at various shows across the last year we have showcased a version of the board printed on a roll mat. It was so popular that we're making it available to our backers!

Our rulebook is still being worked on and some tweaks may still be made to the specifics of the rules before production, but you can access the current rulebook here.

But we are including a rough breakdown below;

  • Set Up

When setting up you shuffle the number tokens (1 to 9) and place them randomly in the named locations around the board.

The Hyperdrive card determines the inciting incident that got you into this mess, placing a set amount of disasters about the board. Players will also choose a character from the Tempus crew to play as, each character having their own unique ability that will vary the strategy available to them during play.

The game is then played over a series of rounds, each consisting of 3 phases; Action, Consequences, and Disaster

  • Action Phase

On their turn players move around the board, picking up equipment and activating locations to try and remove disasters from the ship. After doing a Time Jump players will also be able to use this phase to try and pre-emptively contain or prevent the disasters that they already know are going to occur.

  • Consequences Phase

After players have taken their actions all the disasters they failed to deal with will have knock on effects, some of which could be quite problematic. Players must, in order, check the board for a number of dangers, from the Fuel Cells exploding to Life Support shutting down.

If the game hasn't ended then any fires on the board will place further damage, and too many electrical faults will cause the shields to power down.

If after all that everyone is still alive and the ship hasn't exploded players can move on to the Disaster Phase.

  • Disaster Phase

Surviving the previous two phases rewards the players with the joy of drawing a new disaster card and placing a fresh set of horrors on the board. A disaster card will either be a Major Disaster which has a singular particularly devastating effect, or a Growing Disaster which will have multiple effects as determined by the player count.

These will generally place fires, electrical faults, and damage in the locations of the ship according the number they were randomly assigned during set up.

Once again, if the players survive this phase they begin a new round with an Action Phase and hope they can tackle this new set of problems.

  • Time Travel

Before too long players will find that things are getting out of control, and at that point the players can enact their secret weapon, the Time Drive. Activating the Time Drive rewinds time back to the beginning of the game, adding a Paradox card to the disaster deck and resetting the disaster discard pile back on top of the disaster deck in the same order. On future rounds the disasters the players faced will then occur in the same order, with the paradox occuring when the players reach the point in the deck that they time travelled from.

Paradoxes are random events that could trip up the players, add new rules, or turn out to be kind of helpful in their own way, but eventually they will cause the players to blink out of existence.

  • Winning The Game

Whilst there are many ways to lose players only have one way to win. They must fix the Hyperdrive and then perform 3 actions on the bridge.

The first time the Hyperdrive space has no disaster tokens in it you flip the Hyperdrive card facedown to indicate that the Hyperdrive is fixed. Players must then take an action at the Security Controls to send a distress call, the Shield Controls to reinforce the forward shields, and lastly the Flight Controls to pilot back to Earth and safety, winning the game.
