StarDriven: Gateway is an epic starship simulation game for 1-4 players, appropriate for ages 10 and up, running ~30 minutes per player. Decide where to assign your crew, what ship stations to activate, what sectors to explore, which missions to complete, and who on your ship deserves promotion as you turn the tide of galactic conflict. This is the foremost Starship Simulator game with full autonomy over a single ship; everything you do on or with your ship on this galactic adventure is controlled by your tableau.

Drawing inspiration from Star Trek, Firefly, Stargate, Battlestar Galactica, FTL, Mass Effect and everything in-between, StarDriven is set in a unique Sci-Fi future where interstellar Gravity Drives create vast amounts of excess power when used to travel across space. StarDriven: Saga is a cooperative roguelike survival game for 1-6 players based on our Maximum Apocalypse game system. In this game, you play a Crew member of a ship lost in space.  You will explore planet surfaces, collect resources to survive, and combat deadly creatures and enemies in the hopes of finding your way home.

StarDriven: Colony is a 1-4 player colony building game where you are competing to govern the colony. Each round you will construct new buildings, activate variable abilities, defend the colony from invaders, and score different districts.

🧑🏾‍🚀 Solo Mode!

StarDriven: Gateway's solo mode features an Automa ship that is competitive and smooth to operate! The Automa ship uses their own solo ship board, action dice, and a varied deck of action cards to determine what actions it will take each round and in what order, simulating a real life player. This allows you to get the full StarDriven: Gateway experience when playing on your own since it works with every Episode. You can even include it in your two player games to mix things up a bit or add it into the cooperative expansion to simulate aid from another player.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Cooperative Expansion

The Invasion Cooperative expansion adds 3 distinct cooperative scenarios with different objectives and adjustable difficulties:

The Warbound spread terror across the system and raid established outposts.  Players will need to band together to defend and placate the Council Worlds so they don't fall into chaos.

A mysterious automated Dreadnought emerges from the gate and starts launching an invasion.  Protect your outposts and defeat the invaders.

The Nautiloid Dreadnought returns and marches towards the Council Worlds, dropping drills that countdown before they burrow into the planet's core and destroy the planet. Delay the countdown and defeat the threat as a team.

➕ Add-Ons

No matter which pledge level you choose, you will have the option to upgrade all of your miniatures with a shaded ink-wash process. This option is great for those gamers out there that want to enhance the appearance of their miniatures, but lack the time/patience/skill/desire etc. to paint them. The ink wash brings out the finer details of the model by adding shading and depth. On the table, these models look impressive and add an extra layer of immersion, enhancing the overall visual appearance:

We're doing things a bit different for this campaign when it comes to Stretch Goals. At launch, you're getting the full scope of what StarDriven: Gateway has to offer - no major gameplay content or mechanics will be locked behind Stretch Goals. All backers are receiving a PRE-STRETCHED expansion pack with additional scenarios, missions and crew. We're committed to ensuring that every player gets a complete game experience worthy of our love for the Science Fiction genre.  Instead, we have a handful of stretch goals that will be focused on reducing the cost of shipping for everyone, expanding language options, etc.

Hi, we're Todd and Mike! We met at the Game Makers Guild of Philadelphia meetups and are the team behind the Set a Watch series, which has raised over $680K by over 14,000 backers on Kickstarter. Our love and passion of science fiction and tabletop games led to a heated discussion in a long car ride to Gencon and from that the idea for StarDriven was born.  As a huge Star Trek fan, Todd designed Gateway to simulate his yearning for a starship simulator game. As more of a Star Wars/ Battlestar Galactica fan, I started working on Saga to be a grand space opera epic.  Once we started collaborating, Gateway quickly grew into the game to launch us into this universe. Thank you to all the playtesters who have motivated us along the way! StarDriven is a true passion project that needs your support. We can’t wait to share our love of board games and the Science Fiction genre with everyone!
