We're approaching the final stretch of fulfillment, and things are moving swiftly across nearly every region. Let's take a look at what’s happening around the globe, and don’t miss the reminder for our AU/NZ backers! 🦈

Asia (VFI)

Fulfillment in Asia is moving through the final stages, with packages delivered or ready to head off to their respective hubs.

All shipments to China have been delivered as of July 3rd, and you can now track the status of all other hubs via VFI’s homepage:

Australia & New Zealand (Aetherworks)

All orders for Australia and New Zealand have now been shipped and are either delivered or in transit.

However, we want to re-highlight a critical issue we addressed in a special update posted on July 11:

⚠️ AU/NZ Shipping Error

While most shipments have been proceeding smoothly, we’ve recently been informed of a shipping issue affecting a portion of our backers in Australia and New Zealand 60 out of 186 backers in this region were mistakenly sent the retail edition instead of the Kickstarter edition, which means the Rare-Fish Mini Expansion was missing.

The only difference between the Kickstarter and retail versions is this mini expansion (4 fish meeples, 3 cards, and 1 rulebook).

Since this was a fulfillment error on Aetherworks’ end, they’ve agreed to send the missing content free of charge to all affected backers — but they are unable to identify which orders were affected without your help.

We’ve since received form submissions from 36 backers, and we’re actively resolving the issue:

28 have already been shipped their replacement

8 are packed and ready to go

That leaves 26 backers we haven’t heard from yet😥.

If you’re an AU/NZ backer, please double-check your game box for the “Kickstarter Edition” sticker near the barcode:

If the sticker you see above is missing, you likely received the wrong version.

Here’s what to do:

• Check the barcode area on the back of the box (lower right side).
  
• If it’s missing the “Kickstarter Edition” sticker, fill out this quick AU/NZ replacement form.
  
• Aetherworks will ship the missing content as soon as possible.

Canada (VFI)

We’re awaiting an update from VFI but all Canada bound products should be en route to the regional warehouse!

We’ve reached out to VFI for a more precise ETA and will follow up as soon as we have it, but we should still be good for that late August individual fulfillment ETA.

Thanks for your patience, we’re hoping fulfillment in Canada is just around the corner!

United States (Gamerati)

Great news, 95% of U.S. orders have already shipped!

We were able to ship a few weeks ahead of schedule so we’re so thrilled to hear everyone’s excitement over the arrival of their copies.

The remaining handful (including PO Boxes, military addresses, and Puerto Rico) will be picked up this Friday, July 18th, so we’re in the final stretch!

United Kingdom (Spiral Galaxy)

It seems our vessel has safely arrived, and we’re now waiting for the cargo to be moved on to Spiral Galaxy’s warehouse.😊

Once received and sorted, they’ll begin sending out address confirmation emails and will soon start individual fulfillment. We’re still on track for early August shipping, so stay tuned!

EU (Aegean)

According to VesselFinder, our ship is scheduled to dock in Greece very soon. That said, tracking sites aren’t always perfectly accurate, so we’re waiting on direct confirmation. We expect shipping to begin by the end of August at the latest, and we’ll keep you updated every step of the way.

Aegean has let us know once it docks; it will take a few days to unload and clear customs, but they’ll begin sending out address validation emails shortly. Please keep an eye on your inboxes!

📦Boxing & Storage

We’ve received quite a few questions about how everything fits inside the box, especially with the expansion included. So, we put together some photos to show how we like to organize our own copies!

From the base game to the Nesting Season expansion, everything has its place, and yes, it does all fit neatly in one box!

So without further ado… let’s take a look! 👀

First up, let’s go a bit in-depth about our Sealife Storage and our plastic trays. We like to organize tiles in alphabetical/numerical order. During setup, you’ll select a certain number of tiles from specific categories. Keeping everything organized makes setup quicker and more convenient. Each tile’s title can be found in white at the bottom of each tile.

Note: When storing all Sea Life Tiles from the base game, you should have 6 empty slots, not 4 as printed on page 2 of the rulebook. The base game includes 88 Sea Life Tiles, 4 of each type. Each slot holds 4 tiles, so they take up 22 of the 28 slots. The remaining 6 are reserved for extra tiles from the Nesting Season expansion.

Huge thanks to everyone who caught this, and our apologies again for the confusion!

Base Game ONLY

Each row houses the 88 Sealife tiles in each alphabet in numerical order. When all Sealife Tiles are placed in the plastic trays, there will be 6 empty slots remaining in the tray.

Base Game + Nesting Expansion

The Nesting Expansion Sealife tiles are designed to be stored together with trays from base game. Since it is important to organize the Sealife Tiles by category during setup, it is much more convenient to store the tiles grouped by category, rather than separating the base game and expansion tiles. Each plastic tray can hold tiles from two categories:

• 1st tray: A & B
  
• 2nd tray: C & D
  
• 3rd tray: E & F
  

With a total of 3 trays to house all 168 Sealife Tiles(88 from the base game and 80 from the expansion) there will be no empty slots left in the trays.

📦 Boxing Shallow Sea

🎲BASE GAME ONLY

Moving on to boxing the game, let’s start with the base game.

Please keep in mind there are plenty of ways to pack the game, but this is the method we’ve been preferring to use. :)

1. Score Pad, Cards, Mini-Expansion Rulebook

In the corner, right on top of the Sealife Tile trays, we’ve placed the Score Pad, sleeved cards, and the Mini-Expansion rulebook.

2. Plastic Trays

Stacked at the bottom of the box are the two plastic trays holding all the Sealife Tiles.

3. Seashells & Rare Fish Meeples

Stored in small ziplock bags and tucked neatly into the gaps between components.

4. Coral Pouch

The Coral Pouch holds all 76 Coral Tiles and sits snugly above the trays.

5. Fish Pouch

Our Fish Pouch fits neatly next to the Coral Pouch and holds all 96 Fish Meeples.

6. Ocean Boards

Placed flat across the pouches and trays are the four folding Ocean Boards.

7. Sealife Pouch

We’ve stored the empty Sealife Pouch just above the boards.

8. Rulebook

Finally, the rulebook sits on top, ready to close the box!

Here’s the box closed with all components packed inside, a smooth, flush fit.

Next up, the trickier part, boxing everything together with the Nesting Season Expansion! There’s a bit to go through with this one so let’s take it layer by layer.

🎲BASE GAME & NESTING SEASON EXPANSION

This is the bottom layer that goes in first:

1. Sealife Tile Plastic Trays

All 3 trays are stacked at the very bottom of the box, holding every Sealife Tile from both the base game and expansion.

2. Coral & Fish Pouches

Snuggled above the trays are:

- The Coral Pouch, holding 76 base Coral Tiles plus 16 from the expansion.

- The Fish Pouch, containing all 96 Fish meeples.

3. Cards, Score Pad & Rulebooks

All cards (sleeved), both base and expansion Score Pads, and the mini expansion rulebook are tucked in upright, right at the top.

Tip: Storing the Score Pads and cards vertically actually helps them fit in way more easily!

4. Randomizer Cards

Just below the cards, you can find the full stack of 42 Randomizer Cards, slotted in neatly.

This layer sits right on top of Layer 1:

5. Ocean Boards

A full stack of 4 Ocean Boards from the base game lays flat across the trays and pouches below.

6. Seashells & Rare Fish Meeples

Above the board are ziplock bags that hold the Seashells and Rare Fish meeples.

7. Sealife Pouch

The empty Sealife Pouch is folded and placed neatly in the upper left corner above the Seashells.

8. Nesting Tiles

All 15 Nesting Tiles are slotted above the Randomizer Cards.

9. Turtle Meeples, Markers & Eggs

- One bag contains the turtle meeples, placed next to the boards.

- Another holds the Turtle Markers, Eggs and Tile Restriction markers, nestled next to the Nesting Tiles.

10. Turtle Island Board

Resting on top of the Ocean Boards is the Turtle Island Board from the expansion.

And to top it all off, our two rulebooks are laid flat on top. The box closes flush once again, even with everything packed inside!
