Hello, everyone —

This is Mark from Bad Comet with an important update regarding Shallow Sea. First, thank you all for your continued support and patience throughout the fulfillment process.

While most shipments have been proceeding smoothly, we’ve recently been informed of a shipping issue affecting a portion of our backers in Australia and New Zealand, and I’d like to share what happened and how we’re addressing it.

📦 Shipping Issue in AU/NZ

Out of a total of 186 shipments to this region, 60 were mistakenly sent as the retail edition instead of the Kickstarter edition. As a result, these boxes are missing the Rare-Fish Mini Expansion, which should have been included.

To clarify:

The only difference between the Kickstarter and retail editions is the inclusion of the Rare-Fish Mini Expansion (4 fish meeples, 3 cards, and 1 rulebook). All other content is identical.

We were only made aware of this issue today and are working closely with Aetherworks, our fulfillment partner for Australia and New Zealand, to resolve it as quickly as possible. Since this error was due to a mistake on Aetherworks' part, they have agreed to ship the missing expansion free of charge to all affected backers as soon as possible.

However, Aetherworks is unable to determine which shipments were incorrect, so we kindly ask for your assistance in identifying them.

STEP 1:

Please check the bottom of your Shallow Sea box. If the barcode does not say “Kickstarter Edition,” then you received the retail edition and are missing the Rare-Fish Mini Expansion.

STEP 2:

If you received the wrong edition, please fill out the form at the link below and upload a photo of the barcode on the bottom of your box.

Once you’ve submitted the form, you’re all set — we’ll ship the missing Rare-Fish Mini Expansion to you as soon as possible. No further action is needed on your end.
