Magneterra is a strategic PvP dungeon crawler blended with thrilling race mechanics for 2-4 players, ages 14 and up, with games lasting 60-90 minutes. As a Mage Warrior, you’ll harness magnetic forces to capture powerful Tochon Magnets, battle rival mages, and outmaneuver relentless Thian and Ankylocat foes. Upgrade your abilities, master spellcasting, and manipulate the battlefield in a high-stakes race to claim the highest magnet and achieve ultimate supremacy!

Race to Capture the Highest Symbiotic Tochon

In Magneterra, the landscape is dotted with mystical pillars of varying heights, each harboring powerful Tochon beings. As a Novice Mage Warrior (Yellow), your initial challenge is to capture accessible Tochons from the shorter pillars. Collecting these Tochons allows you to stack them onto your figurine, gradually empowering you to ascend to a Master Mage Warrior (Red). Your ultimate goal? Amass enough magnetic power to claim the highest Tochon and triumph in this race for victory!

Each Collected Magnet Increases Your Power

With Magneterra’s innovative magnet-stacking mechanic, every Tochon you collect makes you stronger—both in height and magnetic force. It's not just for show: stacked magnets literally combine their strength, increasing your ability to capture Tochons from even the tallest pillars.

Navigate Magneterra's dynamic board

Roll dice to determine your Mage Warrior’s movement, then strategically position yourself to attack rivals, block their path with walls, and capture Tochons before they do!

Learn and Cast Powerful Spells 

Learning spells will help you on your quest to capturing the highest Tochon, including Wall Spells that can be placed in the paths of monsters or your rival Mage Warriors to slow their progress and defend against ranged attacks!

Upgrade Your Character

As you capture Tochons and Skill Cards you can upgrade your abilities and become a Master Mage Warrior!

You choose how to increase your Attack, Defense, and Maximum Health based on your strategy!

Earn Your Special Ability

With the right combination of Alchemy Symbols you can enhance your character through their special ability. What's more?! You can steal your opponents Special Ability if you have 2 of their Alchemy symbols!

Guard Your Magnets Against Rival Mages

Stay vigilant! As your magical abilities and magnetic powers increase, so does your vulnerability. Your opponents will try to weaken you and steal your magnets, but with increased power comes the ability to repel opponents, pushing them away as you race to attract Tochons before they do!

We will be using Hive to manage pledges and multiple Shipping Hubs around the world to manage shipping and fulfillment costs after the campaign. Due to the current volatility of shipping costs, shipping payments will be collected by Hive well after the end of the campaign, close to our ship date, and will be based on actual shipping costs incurred. Hi! I’m Ben, a lifelong gamer, scientist by training, and the creator of Magneterra! I’ve always loved game nights with family and friends filled with strategy, competition, and laughter. Alongside my passion for gaming, I’ve also been captivated by science, especially the invisible forces like magnetism that shape our world. This love for both gaming and science inspired me to create a unique board game.

The idea for Magneterra began when my father playfully challenged my siblings and me to invent a board game. After several failed ideas, the breakthrough came one morning as I absentmindedly moved a stack of neodymium magnets near a lone magnet. The lone magnet suddenly jumped two inches, making a sharp 'click’ sound as it impacted the stack in my hand. That simple, striking interaction inspired Magneterra's core mechanic—capturing magnets from towers of increasing height. I then merged this concept with a fantasy universe I had created for a novel, shaping a dynamic, strategy-driven game.

After countless playtests and refinements, Magneterra is ready to bring friends and family together for unforgettable game nights, filled with evolving strategies, fierce competition, and thrilling comebacks.
