VAT: 
In order to maintain compliance with EU & UK law, VAT fees will be charged after the project, within the Hive Pledge Manager. The amount collected will be based on the total value of the pledge and shipping cost according to the VAT rates of each country.

US Tariffs: 
Currently, tariffs on goods imported into the US from China are 30%. Tangerine Games reserves the right to pass the tariff onto the backer in the Pledge Manager if necessary. (30% tariff = an additional ~$3.)

Shipping: 
Fees for each reward listed in the table above are estimates based on current rates and shipping a single game. Additional items will add to this cost. Shipping will be collected within the Pledge Manager after the conclusion of the campaign. Backers will provide their shipping address at this time as well. NOTE: Shipping costs and addresses will not be collected on Kickstarter.

RETAILERS 
We love retailers and would love to see Kaelora and Kindred on hobby store shelves around the world. If you run a store, please select the "Retailer" tier to pledge a $100 deposit toward a case of Kaelora and/or Kindred. When the Hive Pledge Manager opens about a month or so after the conclusion of the campaign, you'll be able to verify your brick and mortar store, pay your balance, and provide your shipping address.

Production Update

Hello Explorers!

Hope everyone is enjoying their Friday and ready for the weekend (some of you are already into your weekend) 😊.

I just wanted to give a quick update on the production of Kaelora and Kindred. According to the Manufacturer, Kaelora will be complete at the end of July and Kindred will be done August 5. At this point, advance copies will be sent to us so we can 100% ensure everything looks exactly how we wanted.

Once we give the "thumbs up," a copy of each game will be sent to the lab for safety testing. According to regulations, games marketed below the age of 14 are considered toys and must be approved free of certain toxins and dangerous materials/designs. Documentation will be requested at the border so we want to make sure we are prepared.

Once this is done, games will be assembled and palletized for pickup by our fulfillment partner, China Division. They have received our backer list and are already preparing the boxes and labels for shipping so when games arrive at their warehouse, they can hit the ground running!

What's interesting is the simplest game, Kindred--which is only punchboard, a box and a rulebook--gave us so much trouble. Not only did we have to pivot from the puzzle piece map (a positive change), but there was this single piece that had a gap which was too small for the other pieces to slide into. It wasn't the end of the world but it was going to be very annoying when placing on the board so we wanted to get it right. It took roughly 3-4 iterations to make sure it wasn't too tight or too loose, but we did it!

With this said, we are on target for fulfillment to begin in September. Since we are shipping straight from China, those located in nearby regions will receive their copies much sooner so do not be alarmed or worried if some parts of the world receive their copies much earlier.

Our next update will be to share that games have been picked up and are on their way to your doorstep! Can't wait for you all to play and post some awesome photos!
