After completely selling out our initial stock, Hit the Silk! is back for a second print run. Following its chaotic, pulse-pounding appearance on No Rolls Barred, demand is sky high! We’re returning to Kickstarter to get the game back into your hands, featuring new enhancements and refined gameplay to make your next escape even more exhilarating.

We were delighted by the number of views on the NRB channel and have partnered with them to promote a Second Edition of Hit the Silk!

You've hijacked a plane to settle a casino debt. The plane is in trouble and losing altitude fast! You must parachute to safety as a team, with enough cash to pay the casino boss, but hold on... there aren't enough parachutes!

What follows is a scramble to find enough cash and secure yourself a parachute. That's where our game begins...

The plane starts at a high altitude. After each player turn, the plane drops 1,000ft. Before the plane crashes, players must agree - by majority vote - to Hit the Silk! 

In the fallout (after the pilot has jumped out of the plane), everyone grabs 6 cards. From these, they must choose to keep 4 and openly discard the other 2. You'll find assets and action cards like these:

Briefcases stashed with loot, knives to defend yourself and parachutes to save your life. If you're left high and dry, you'll want that pilot's licence!
Spy, steal, kick and threaten other players. If that doesn't work, poison them! Or handcuff them to you to intertwine your fates.

On your turn, you can:
I. Draw New Cards 
II. Take Actions
III. Negotiate Trades

Or you can do nothing. Watch as the gang scrambles for parachutes and cash. Just remember, the plane is always dropping!

When the needle hits the right altitude, it's time to vote - either, wait to jump... or Hit the Silk!

The Altimeter tracks the plane height and indicates Incidents and voting points. Beware there is a mandatory bailout at 1,000ft!

With a majority vote (or at 1,000ft. when there's a mandatory bailout) everyone with a parachute jumps out of the plane! You may have survived the jump, but let's hope you have enough cash. 

Abandoned at altitude without a parachute? You have one last shot at survival - land the plane! You know how to operate a plane, don't you? You don’t? Uh-oh.

The First Milestone: Early Funding Bonus

Originally a limited release, we’re officially bringing this high-stakes oceanic challenge into the base game for everyone. The Open Water scenario forces a mid-air emergency over the deep blue. You’ll need quick reflexes to grab a parachute and even quicker ones to find a life jacket before you hit the waves.

Early Birds are great for getting the project noticed, but come at a cost to late arriving backers. Instead, we encouraged people to back in the first 24 hours of the campaign to help us unlock an early funding bonus that benefits everyone. And they did!

Our Stretch Goal Strategy: Clear Skies Ahead
We want to get Hit the Silk! onto your table as quickly as possible. To ensure a seamless production timeline and maintain our high standards for component quality, we are putting all of our energy into the main deliverables and hitting the early funding bonus. This will allow us to move straight to manufacturing without the risk of "feature creep" or delivery delays.

We’re already planning your next flight. At 2,000 backers, we will fund the artwork for a new upcoming scenario currently in development. And another at 3,000 backers and so on. Your support today builds the future of the Hit the Silk! universe.

We are aiming for a quick turnaround: 
Based on our track record of previous campaigns for Stop the Train! and Hit the Silk!, where we delivered both within 9 months of the campaign end, we anticipate a Spring manufacture date and a Summer/Autumn dispatch. Expect regular communication via the Project Updates.
