Upside Down Kingdom is a cooperative board game where players journey through gardens, deserts, clouds, and kingdoms! Spread the good news that God’s Kingdom has come, from the gates of the golden city to the farthest edges of the earth. Players set out on a journey to see the Kingdom flourish and grow. But beware—on the winding path are obstacles from the Anti-Kingdom, determined to slow your steps. Along the way you’ll gather cards, receive help from the King, share Attributes and put off Anti-Kingdom cards. Each player takes on a unique role with a special ability, working together to overcome setbacks and reach the Ends of the Earth—before the white horse arrives at the End of the Age. The Upside Down Kingdom board game helps Christian parents disciple their children -- not through lectures, but through play.
The game introduces the Kingdom of God to all ages and invites players to discover: 1. What is the Kingdom of God like? 2. Who is the King, and what is He like? 3. How do I participate in His Kingdom?
Designed for 2-4 players, Upside Down Kingdom takes you on an adventure through obstacles like the Storm of Fear and Worry, the Pit of Despair, and Suffering Falls
As a team, you'll race to reach the Ends of the Earth before teh White Horse reaches the End of the Age. With a 20-30 minute play time, the game is easy to learn and rich in meaning.
As they play, kids and adults alike will begin to grasp that we can't overcome the ways of this world on our own. We need to put on the Attributes of the King to flip the Anti-Kingdom upside down.
The game reveals that the Kingdom of God is already here, yet the Anti-Kingdom is still a reality — and one day, the Kingdom will come in its fullness when Jesus returns.

The Story Behind the Game This game didn’t begin as a business idea. It started as a seed I couldn’t ignore, something I felt called to bring to life. As a mom, I’ve spent countless hours around the table with my kids—laughing, playing, reconnecting. Board games have been one of the most reliable ways we set our screens aside and actually enjoy each other. Over time, I began to notice how powerful games are for learning—not just colors or coordination, but deeper concepts like strategy, logic, and problem solving. And it made me wonder: if we can teach spelling or science through play, why not the Gospel? Jesus was a master storyteller. He used parables and symbols, not just to state facts but to invite people into a different way of seeing. I wanted to create something like that: something tactile, visual, and interactive that would help kids not only hear about the Kingdom of God, but experience it. I had the vision, but I couldn’t have brought it to life without everyone who made it possible. Yan ensured the game was fun and exciting for kids, and brought the humour to the table. Denya Designs designed the first prototype, making it possible for us to start playtesting in 2024. Then we got Tommy Hardman on board who shaped the look and feel of the game. He illustrated it beautifully and captured all the themes and imagery we wanted to communicate. I hope that, while playing, kids have an “Ah-ha!” moment– that the goal of the Christian life isn’t to “be good enough” to get to heaven someday, but to recognize that heaven came down to us in the person of Jesus. We get to participate in that Kingdom now. We get to live as ambassadors of light, bringing His goodness, love, and truth into the everyday spaces of our lives.
