A two-player game of risk and cunning that transforms your most beloved chessboard into the mythical forest of Haggedorn.
In Darkleaf Gambit, choose one of six asymmetrical clans, each possessing a unique set of abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. Every clan’s path to victory is different in this competitive duel for the endangered light of the forest.
Will you hunt your rival’s king with the Huldra’s ranged attack or undertake a close confrontation with The Murg? Ferrymen seek to push units into the void, while Erde care only for claiming sacred territories. Wildero Wibo transform your enemies into pawns for your own use, while Hexen curse the very ground upon which your rival walks.
Only Then Studios invites you to demo all six clans (for free!) on Tabletopia. We’ve done the math, and with six clans to choose from, there are fifteen possible match-ups. Each week until our launch in April 2025, we’ll highlight one clan with dedicated setups against each of the other clans.
